This year the gentleman of Sigma Phi Epsilon have decided to partner up with our fellow SigEp chapters at the San Diego State University and the University of California San Diego to hold the largest philanthropy San Diego has ever seen.
We will be holding a beach soccer tournament for the Panhellenic sororities of all three universities that will also include a sand castle building competition and a tug-o-war challenge on the side. This will bring together 24 sororities in San Diego, which will make for the largest philanthropic event USD has ever seen. Some of the sororities that you may recognize that have already committed from SDSU include Kappa Alpha Theta, Pi Beta Phi, Alpha Phi, Gamma Phi Beta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Delta, Delta Zeta, and Alpha Chi Omega.
There will be four overall winners of our philanthropy event. One trophy will be awarded to the overall winner of the beach soccer tournament, and three trophies to the overall point total winner from each individual university.
Our goal is to make this event a fun filled day full of beach soccer, beach games, music, food, and great company. We will have multiple bands playing during the tournament and a major performer at the end of the day.
Not only will this philanthropy allow us to bridge connections with other Greeks in San Diego, but it will allow us to show that Greeks can make a difference and can create positive media. We will be having a great time while raising money for four amazing organizations and showing the nation that Greeks can do great things.
